The CBHS Lady Wolves dropped their lone match of the week on Saturday as they fell to perennial District 1B favorite Choteau 3-0. The Lady Wolves will look to bounce back with conference tilts against Conrad and Rocky Boy this weekend.
Against the Bulldogs Cut Bank was walloped in the first game 25-9. The Lady Wolves played much better in the second and third games but were swept by Choteau 25-17, 25-20.
Jada Doore led the local spikers with four kills, four blocks and three aces in the match. Sienna Spotted Bear and Aryana Black each tallied three kills in the loss while Shelby BigSpring totaled two blocks and three digs. Sam Burke led the offense with nine assists while Camille Bradley led the defensive effort with four digs followed by Brianne Murphy with three.
“We came out really slow in game one,” said head coach Kelsey Brown. “We had a hard time getting going and bringing energy to the court. We made some adjustments and did a much better job in games two and three and played right along with Choteau. We will get back to work on Monday, tighten things up on our end, and be ready for them when we see them in late October.”
Cut Bank will host Conrad on Friday with action getting underway at 4:15 p.m. and Rocky Boy comes to town on Saturday with games beginning at 2 p.m.
