Dakota Manecke ran third for the Lady Wolves in Kalispell Saturday.

Cut Bank held their own in another highly competitive race with runners from larger schools on Saturday, Sept. 14 in Kalispell.

On the men’s side, it was Hunter Kennedy crossing the line first for the Wolves in 19:26, then Devin Shultz (19:49), Quinn Rides At The Door (20:01), Rhett Michael with the only personal record of the day (20:50), Nathaniel Anderson  (21:00), Henry Gannon (21:10) and  Jordyn Fields (21:17) rounding out the Top 7.

In a fast women’s race, London Raemaeker led the way for the Lady Wolves (23:53), followed by Mariah Wahl (25:29), Dakota Manecke (28:31), Grace Rooney (31:39), and Shannia Schmidt (32:01).

In the middle school girls race, Arianna Renville went out strong in the first race of her life to lead the way in 11:10, followed by Kellyn Dunaway (11:47), Ava Manecke (12:02), and Mya Beausoleil (14:33), who represented Cut Bank well by stopping to aid a fallen runner from another team.

Our strong middle school boys team saw James Greene cover the 1.5-mile course in 9:47, followed by the tight pack of Xander Manley and Brennan Hedges, then Max Gannon, Yariel Rodriguez and Latham Johnson.

The Wolves only had one day to recover, and then raced hard in Shelby on Monday, Sept. 16. Results weren’t official yet, but both teams put in solid efforts led by Kierrin Rooney for the boys and London Raemaeker for the girls.

The harriers journey to Great Falls to race again on Friday, Sept. 20.
