The Cut Bank Lady Wolves wrapped up the regular season in Butte last weekend where they faced off with four non-conference opponents, including three from Class A. The Lady Wolves went 1-3 on the weekend and will head to Billings this weekend for the Eastern Divisional Tournament where they enter as the second seed and will take on seventh seeded Glasgow as they look to advance to their second straight State Tournament next week in Belgrade. The top four teams from the Divisional Tournament advance to State. 

Cut Bank opened the weekend with a 15-4 loss to Class A Glendive. Jazmine Spotted Bear smashed two home runs in the loss, but the Lady Wolves managed just one other hit in the loss, a double from Hannah Fetters. 

Spotted Bear was in the circle for the Lady Wolves, pitching five innings and giving up 11 earned runs to go with five strikeouts. 

Cut Bank then fell to Hamilton 9-4 as they struggled to get hits. Sienna Spotted Bear smacked a home run over the fence, Sarah McDonough hit a double and Sam Burke, Hailey Wahl and Jada Doore each recorded a single. Jazmine Spotted Bear started the game and gave up two hits and three walks. Sienna Spotted Bear pitched the final two innings of the game and gave up four hits and four earned runs to go with two strikeouts. 

The Lady Wolves’ first opponent on Saturday was Class B Deer Lodge and the Lady Wolves led 2-0 after the first inning and 5-0 after the second as they cruised to the 12-3 victory. 

Jazmine Spotted Bear started the game for the Lady Wolves and gave up just one hit while striking out four batters. Sienna Spotted Bear pitched a hitless inning and struck out two of the three batters she faced. 

Haylee Kropp led the Lady Wolves at the plate, going 3-3 with a double and a pair of singles while Sienna Spotted Bear recorded a double and single. McDonough and Jazmine Spotted Bear each hit two singles, while Fetters, Doore, Bizzy Whitford, Brianne Murphy and Burke each recorded a hit in the win. Fetters also led the Lady Wolves with four stolen bases while Burke had three. 

Cut Bank wrapped up the weekend with Class A Corvallis and led 2-1 going into the final inning. Cut Bank put up two runs in the fourth to take a 4-1 lead into the bottom half of the inning. Corvallis rallied to get back into the game as the Lady Wolves needed just one more out. A Cut Bank throwing error allowed the winning run to cross the plate and the Lady Wolves took the 5-4 loss. 

Sienna Spotted Bear hit her second home run of the weekend to lead the offense and Fetters, Burke, Camille Bradley and Murphy each hit a single in the loss. 

Jazmine Spotted Bear pitched all four innings and gave up seven hits and three earned runs while striking out two batters. 

The Lady Wolves JV team competed Monday, May 6 in their final games of the season and went 2-0 in games with Ronan and Columbia Falls. 

Cut Bank defeated Ronan 8-0 as Sienna Spotted Bear gave up just one hit in three innings and struck out three batters. 

Fetters went 3-3 from the plate with a double while Spotted Bear went 2-3 with a pair of singles. Murphy, Whitford, Kropp and Mariah Wahl each hit a single in the win. 

In the second game of the day Cut Bank took a 4-2 lead after the first inning and went on to win 6-3.

Burke pitched all four innings and gave up four hits and three earned runs to go with two strikeouts. 

Doore, Fetters, Bradley, Shelby Big Spring, Kropp and Sydnei Littrell each hit a single in the win and Burke and Bradley each recorded two stolen bases in the win.
