The Total Money Makeover (TMM), by Dave Ramsey, provides a practical and inspiring action plan for getting in financial shape. There is no better way to “get in shape” than with a group of likeminded individuals and the TMM book club will do just that this fall!

Dave Ramsey is a nationally syndicated radio host and money expert who lost everything to debt in the 1980’s. Now, he helps others get out of debt and control their money. The book combines recent statistics about debt, credit cards, bankruptcy, and wealth with a straightforward plan to set up an emergency fund, maximize retirement investing, prepare for college funding, pay off the home mortgage, and build wealth.

The book club, facilitated by Glacier County MSU-Extension, will discuss major concepts of the weekly readings, and will also demonstrate key ideas. The book club will meet weekly for six weeks, with two options for participating. Participants can either participate virtually on Monday evenings from 6:30-8 p.m., beginning Oct. 5, or can participate in an in-person session from 12-1 p.m. at the Glacier County Extension Office beginning Oct. 7.

The class will utilize the TMM book and workbook. A limited number of class kits are available through a Montana Financial Education Coalition grant.

Free kits are available on a first come, first serve basis by completing a short application via the registration process. Register at https://bit.ly/3gM0Bkt or by calling (406) 873-2239 by Sept. 18.
