The Festival of Trees is a holiday tradition in Cut Bank and this year the Cut Bank Area Chamber of Commerce is excited to combine it with the annual Prime Rib Cook-off Contest on Saturday, Dec. 7, at the Pioneer Bar. Serving will begin with a social hour from 5-6 p.m., followed by the cook-off judging and eating and then the silent auction.
The event will include a sampling of over 15 different prime rib cook-off entries, a loaded baked potato bar, fresh salad, roll and a delicious cheesecake bar. There will also be a no-host bar featuring several delicious seasonal cocktails, and a silent auction of themed 4-foot Christmas trees, wreaths and centerpieces. The band Wheelhouse will be entertaining the crowd with a variety of musical influences including pop, rock blues and folk throughout the night.
Please consider supporting the Chamber’s efforts by submitting a prime rib entry, donating to the silent auction or purchasing tickets. Tickets are $35 per person, which includes a $5 Santa cash casino credit to the TNT Casino, located inside the Pioneer Bar.
Those entering the cook-off will need to purchase a prime rib that is at least 15 lbs., prepare it off-site and bring it to the Pioneer Bar where you can slice it up and have it ready to serve at 6 p.m., buffet style. All chefs will receive two complimentary tickets to the event.
Prime Rib judging will consist of two different panels, one will be the Judge’s Choice and the other will be the People’s Choice. Both will have bragging rights, a trophy and a winners’ basket provided by the Cut Bank Chamber. To reserve your spot in the Prime Rib Cook-off, please let the Chamber know by Nov. 11 by calling the Chamber at (406) 873-4041 or by email at firstname.lastname@example.org
The Chamber pays for the prelit trees and wreaths, which can be picked up at Billman’s True Value. If decorating an entire tree overwhelms you, but you still want to make a contribution, consider donating a gift certificate. The Chamber will put all of the donated gift certificates on one fantastic tree for the attendees to bid on.
Please call or email the Chamber if you are interested in donating to the Festival of Trees silent auction.
All profits raised from this fundraiser will help the Cut Bank Chamber continue with its many community improvement projects and events that help keep Cut Bank a great place to live, work and visit.
