Fundraising for the new Skyriders Softball Travel Team started last summer and now it is time for players to sign up for the upcoming season. Already signed up for the team are, left to right, Kodee Stiner, Jaycee Luse, Ava Shook, Harley Fetters and Kenzie Stiner.

For a few years now, about a half dozen girls from Cut Bank have been traveling to play with a fastpitch softball team out of Great Falls. It was never an ideal situation, thanks to all the travel time for practice and for play, but the girls wanted to get in more time on the field and this was one way to make that happen.

“We have been talking about starting something here for years and with the success and numbers of our high school softball team, we decided this was the year to start,” said Lisa Fetters, President of the Skyriders Softball.

So now the Skyriders are recruiting players from not only Cut Bank, but the surrounding communities, to field a team.
