Sometimes we’re so busy telling stories of other businesses success, we forget to share our own. So, while we are a few months late, we’re going to do a little bragging now.

We’re not big on entering contests. It’s time-consuming. And any spare time we have we’d rather spend on promoting and being involved in our community.

But once a year we take a day and scramble to enter some of more memorable articles, photos and promotions in the National Newspaper Association’s Better Newspaper Editorial and Advertising Contests.

Entries for the 2019 national contest came from NNA members in 36 states. A total of 485 awards were won by 97 member newspapers and were announced in October 2019. Entries included features, photos and promotions from the previous calendar year

The Cut Bank Pioneer Press won or placed in nearly all of the categories we entered in the 2019 contest.

The Cut Bank Pioneer Press will celebrate its 110th anniversary in 2020. We’re pretty sure there’s not another business in town that has been in business–continually–for that long.

We’re proud of that fact.

And we’re proud to be your award-winning, community newspaper.

A nice change of pace in sports photography. I love the angle of the bowler and the movement caught in the bowling ball. Nice shot!
