After five days in Las Vegas, the Indian National Finals Rodeo is complete and two local world champions were named. Tahj Wells of Browning was first in Junior Bull Riding, accumulating a score of 204 in three goes. In addition, Nolan Conway of Cut Bank took the Steer Wrestling championship with a combined score of 27.15 in four goes. Dale Bird was another local cowboy honored. He was inducted in the INFR Hall of Fame!
Collin Johnson of Browning was close behind in steer wrestling, placing second at 27.39, and Tuck Johnson of Browning was 11th at 32.40.
Megan Small of Busby came in seventh in Breakaway Roping in three goes while Sammy Jo Bird of Cut Bank placed 20th in two.
Kolby Kittson of Browning tied for ninth in Saddle Bronc while Alan Kole Gobert of Browning was 14th.
Nolan Conway of Cut Bank placed fourth in Tie Down Roping while Ty St. Goddard and Corbin Fisher were sixth in Team Roping. Sam Bird of Cut Bank and Vern Begay were 13th in Team Roping.
Brittany Bird of Cut Bank placed 16th in Ladies Barrels.
Wynn Wells of Browning was third in Bull Riding while Preston Louis of Browning came in fifth. Cole Wagner of Valier tied for sixth place, and Jayde Murphy of Cut Bank placed 13th.
