“It was a roller coaster of ups and downs,” Coach Jerry Racine said of last week’s loss to Libby at Arrowhead Stadium. While the first half of the game saw great plays both on the ground and in the air, Libby’s defense proved more entrenched in the second half and stymied the Browning attack.
Quarterback Jesse Carlson was 16 for 28 passing attempts for a total of 255 yards and three touchdowns. On the receiving end, Justice Johnson had four receptions for 84 yards and two TDs; Joe Bullshoe had three for 75 yards and one TD; Maurice Redhorn III caught seven for 55 yards; and Tommy Running Rabbit had two for 41 yards. On the ground, Tommy Running Rabbit rushed 20 times for 64 yards, followed by Brendan Whiteman who carried twice for eight.
This week, Big Red is on the road again, facing off against Columbia Falls on Friday, Oct. 9. Kickoff is set for 7 p.m.
