The Willie DeGroot Gymnasium in Cut Bank will be hosting the Northern “B” Girls Divisional Basketball Tournament this weekend. The Lady Wolves finished second at the District 1B tourney in Cut Bank two weeks ago and will open with Glasgow, the third seed from the 2B, on Thursday at 2:30 p.m.

The top seed from the 2B, the Malta Mustangs, will open the tournament against Shelby, who finished fourth in the 1B on Thursday at 1 p.m. followed by the Cut Bank/Glasgow matchup.

Wolf Point, the runner-up from 2B, will take on the Conrad Cowgirls, the third seed from 1B, at 6:30 p.m. Fairfield, who won the conference and the District 1B tournament, will wrap-up the Thursday night session against Harlem, the fourth place team from 2B, at 8 p.m.

Friday will follow the same game times with loser-out action in the afternoon session and semifinal games in the evening.

Saturday morning’s loser-out games get underway at 9:30 a.m. while the evening session begins at 6:30 p.m. with the consolation game followed by the championship game at 8 p.m.

Three teams will advance to represent the North at the Class “B” State Tournament in Bozeman on March 10-12.
