Cut Bank junior Aliyah Cruz launches a three-pointer during a game in Shelby last year. Cruz was a second team all-conference selection last season.

The Cut Bank Lady Wolves will host the Harlem Wildcats in their 2021-22 season opener this Saturday at the Willie DeGroot Gymnasium. Head coach Brandon Kavanagh and assistant coach Barb Genger welcome back junior Aliyah Cruz, who was named a Second Team District 1B All-Conference performer a season ago along with five other letter winners from a season ago.

Jackie Waller is the lone senior for the Lady Wolves and also returning to the varsity roster are juniors Kendra Spotted Bear, Mackenzie Johnson and Madi Baker along with sophomore Makenna Burke. Juniors Hadley Barbie, Regan Wetzel, Darci Littrell, Autumn Dorame and Mekah Keller, sophomores Katelyn Suta and Stella Overstreet along with freshmen Destini Anderson, Leela Pepion, Mylee Barry, Ashlyn Brown and Alison Gray round out the roster for the Lady Wolves. Sofia Bertei and Kenzie Stiner will serve as managers for the team.

District 1B is always one of the top conferences in the state and this year should be no different. The Lady Wolves are hoping their experience will guide them early in the season while they add new faces to the varsity roster.
