Jamie Freed enjoys being outside with her brother, Scott Racki, as she recovers from her liver transplant surgery.

Jan. 6, 2022 will be a day Jamie Freed never forgets. At 2:30 a.m., Jamie was blessed with a new liver! Seven is Jamie’s new lucky number–it was the seventh time she had been called to get to the Mayo Clinic in Phoenix for a possible transplant. While the first six livers didn’t turn out to be viable for her, the seventh was described as “stellar” by her doctor.

 Jamie was moved from the Intensive Care Unit on Jan. 7 and she told friends on a surprise Facetime call she felt “like a million bucks.” She also expressed her thanks and appreciation to the Cut Bank community and surrounding area for all the support and continued prayers she has received in this long journey.

Her cousin from Pennsylvania and her brother, Scott Racki, are with her now and are providing updates on her condition.
