The Shelby Coyote Boys’ Track Team participated in the Choteau Twilight meet Thursday. They finished third in the meet, one point behind second place Fairfield, and then traveled to Great Falls for the State preview meet on Saturday.
The 4x100 and 4x400 relay teams kept up their winning ways in Choteau, turning in their best times this year, claiming victory in both races. The team consists of Rhett Reynolds, Kolby Lohr, Randon Richman, and Bryce Lee. They finished the 4x100 in a time of 46.11, and the 4x400 in a time of 3:40.9. Coyotes Hayden Schilling, Caden Lane, Paolo Manda and Ethan Finch also ran the 4x400 in 4:13.82.
Lohr placed fourth in the 200 with a time of 24.25. Reynolds and Richman also ran the 200 in times of 24.29, and 24.35 respectively. Matteo Padroni 27.41, Finch 27.56 PR, and Manda 27.96 PR also competed in the 200.
Richman claimed the title in the 400 with a 53.31 PR, Lohr grabbed fourth 55.21 PR, Hayden Schilling 61.35, Kyle McDermott 62.58 PR, 63.21, Manda 65.27 PR, and Finch 66.21 PR also ran the 400.
All three Coyotes in the 800 had PR’s, Ivan Wickum at 2:24.41 to place seventh, James Knickerbocker at 2:29.78, and Allan Flores ran a 2:35.19.
Those three also had PR’s in the 1600, Wickum 5:18.49, Knickerbocker 5:21.09, and Flores 5:22.17. The three Coyotes placed 2nd, 3rd, and 4th in the race. Kobe Hooker also ran the 1600 with a PR of 6:21.38.
Knickerbocker led the trio of Coyote distance runners in the 3200, where they placed 5th, 6th, and 7th. He ran a 12:28.31, Flores clocked a 12:36.29, and Wickum came in with a 12:40.78.
Isaac Doty turned in a 20.08 in the 110 hurdles good for a 5th place, and Parker Parsons ran a 22:80.
