“Mike Chavez came in and talked to the guys with some clues,” Coach Kellen Hall said of his team’s competing at the All American Indian Shootout in Billings last weekend. “They came out pumped up and ready to go. He’s a great ambassador for the game and an old buddy of mine.”

The Warriors’ first opponents weren’t up to the challenge, however, as Two Eagle went down, 105-30. Joe Murray, Frankie Calf Boss Ribs and Riley Reevis all scored 16 points, followed by Thomas Young Running Crane with 15.

“Everyone scored,” Coach Hall said.

Box Elder was somewhat different.

“Box Elder is well coached, and they were prepared for us,” Coach Hall said. “They led 20 to 19 in the first quarter, but we took off in the second and third.”

With a final winning score of 87-67, Jude Reevis led the way with 20 points, followed by Thomas Young Running Crane with 19, Riley Reevis 17 and Joe Murray 16.

This week the Warriors are off to Valier on Friday, Dec. 17, where the JVs will play at 4:30 and the varsity plays at 7:30 p.m.
