The Cut Bank City Council wasted little time in appointing a committee to address the issue of how to fund an additional officer for the Cut Bank Police Department. The Law Enforcement Expansion (LEE) Committee held its first meeting on Tuesday, Oct. 12.

Current members of the committee include: Mayor Elect and Council Member Kim Winchell and Councilman Mike Wineman; City Clerk-Treasurer Linda Burley; and members at large, Matt Connors, Helen McConnaughey and Vernon Thomas. Cut Bank residents are invited to serve on the committee. Those interested are asked to contact Burley at Cut Bank City Hall, 406-873-5526. The next meeting is set for Wednesday, Oct. 27, at 6 p.m. at City Hall and is scheduled to last approximately 90 minutes.
