Cut Bank’s Jackie Waller took first in the 300 hurdles at the Choteau Acantha Invitational last weekend.

The Cut Bank Lady Wolves returned to action last weekend at the Choteau Acantha Invitational and senior Jackie Waller led the way with a first place finish in the 300 hurdles. 

Waller, who committed to continue her track career at Montana Tech next year, topped the field in the 300 hurdles with a time of 52.02, over two seconds faster than the second place finisher. 

Stephanie Anderson finished fourth in the 100 with a time of 13.62. Anderson also recorded a time in the 400 of 1:16.3 to finish eighth. 

Mylee Barry finished fifth in the 3200 with a time of 14:48.03 while teammate Abby Baney followed in sixth place with a time of 15:11.21. Barry and Baney also finished in the top ten in the pole vault, along with Ava Manecke. Manecke placed sixth with a height of 6’-0, followed by Barry and Baney who both cleared 5’-06. Baney also finished seventh in the high jump, clearing 4’-04. 

Darci Littrell rounded out the top ten finishes with an eighth place finish in the 800 with a time of 3:12.45 and she finished tenth in the 400 with a time of 1:17.72.

Non-placing marks for the Lady Wolves were: Destini Anderson – 100 14.77; Manecke - 100 15.81; Misty Cole – 100 17.52, discus 53’-04, javelin 47’-06; Littrell – 1600 6:48.07, javelin 75’-11; Barry – 1600 6:57.07; Baney – 1600 7:01.57; Ashlyn Brown – 100 hurdles 21.88, long jump 12’-03; Stefani Bohmer – shot put 26’-04, discus 82’-01, javelin 60’-05; Nolahna Tanner – shot put 21’-02, discus 60’-06, javelin 53’-09.

“I am very happy with the performance of all of the kids today,” stated Coach Jared Berkram. “After losing a few weeks of the season due to weather, the kids came out and put together some very solid efforts.”

The Lady Wolves will be back in Choteau on Thursday for the annual Twilight Meet before traveling to Great Falls for the Fairfield/Belt State Preview Meet on Saturday.
