Spring sports come with all sorts of obstacles, from weather to graduation that inconvenience both athletes and their coaches. Last week was no exception as the BHS track and field team traveled to the Libby Invitational with much reduced numbers due to the Prom being held that Saturday.

Nevertheless, Jerden Crawford set a season record and took second place in the 3200 meter run to set the high mark for the team while Jeffery DeRoche took fifth in the same race, setting a personal record.

“We’re looking forward to practice this week and seeing a lot of Class A competition at Columbia Falls this week,” Coach Bob Miller said. The invitational in Columbia Falls is set for this Saturday, April 22, where the action starts at 10 a.m.
