Doig Day festivities in Dupuyer begin at 2 p.m.  Monday, June 27, on the day of writer Ivan Doig’s (1939 – 2015) birthday.

The program includes friends sharing memories of Doig, music, birthday cake and ice cream. Artifacts and archives from Doig’s writing days are part of the events.

In “Heart Earth,” Doig wrote, “The chain lightning of memory and family never quits in us …”

This year we will explore his and our family memories.

Dupuyer Community Hall on Gillette Street is the venue. The hall will remain open after the program for visiting and viewing displays.

All are invited to join the fun in Dupuyer.
