The Sunburst Refiners Track Teams competed at the Fort Benton Snow Buster Meet Thursday, March 31, and the girls came away with a third-place finish.
Sophomore Claire Bucklin had a great day, she broke the school long jump record of 16’1”, by leaping 16’3.75”. The record was set 43 years ago by Kristie Hesla, in 1979. Bucklin also took first in the 200, and second in the 100 hurdles and the 300 hurdles. Fellow sophomore Nikki Nau took second in the mile with a time of 6:27, and first in the two-mile with a time of 13:23.
Sophomore Ian Benjamin placed sixth in the two mile with a time of 12:56 and sixth in the mile with a time of 6:00.
