The Lady Wolves came home with plenty of hardware from the Flathead Invitational last weekend. Pictured are, left to right, Madison Price, Mariah Wahl, JJ Carter and Haylee Fetters.

The Cut Bank Lady Wolves competed at the first annual Flathead Girls Invitational last weekend and Mariah Wahl led the squad with a first place finish, going 3-0. The Lady Wolves placed sixth as a team, behind five Class AA schools in the 22 team tournament.

Wahl pinned Paige Gershmel of Billings Senior in her first round match in 2:06. In her semifinal contest Wahl pinned Yasmine Tatsey-McKay of Browning in 1:07. In the finals the local senior claimed the championship with a 4-1 decision over Makenzee Neal of Billings West.

JJ Carter fell in her opening round match to Kendall Tucker of Billings Senior. Tucker would go on to claim the title at 152. Carter battled back and pinned Makenna McCarthy of Flathead High in 2:30. Carter defeated Shawna Jiminez of Browning to advance to the consolation semifinals where she pinned Haven Ferguson of Billings Skyview in 2:08. Carter earned third place in the tournament with a forfeit over Natalka Rolfson of Billings Senior.

Haylee Fetters earned second place as she pinned Paishance Haller of Glacier High in 1:42 in her first round. Fetters was pinned by Aliyah Stevens of Flathead in her second round and forfeited her final match of the day.

Madison Price was pinned by Emerson Eckhardt of Billings Senior and forfeited her consolation match to go 0-2 on the day.

The Lady Wolves will travel to the CMR Holiday Classic this weekend in Great Falls for their final tuneup before the holiday break.
