From Native American pre-European influence to the present, fire was, is, and always will be a major disturbance and influence of the forest environment. Please join Rick Trembath of Flathead Forestry & Fire Consulting for a brown bag presentation on Thursday, June 7th from 12 pm to 1 pm in the West Glacier Community Building to hear how past fires have shaped the forest landscapes of today. Trembath, a wildland firefighter for over 50 years, will review some of the lessons learned from Northwest Montana’s historic wildfires and how they may apply to the future of area wildfires.
